About Us
We have been in the Quiz business for over 10 years and have gained a reputation for a great evenings entertainment... saying that, its not just evenings... we have also hosted quizzes at lunchtimes and even Birthday parties for people who just cannot get enough 'brain strain'!
The Quizzes can be tailor made to suit the occassion, but if you're not sure what you would like, let me take the pressure off you and surprise you.
A proven successful format!
A Whitecat quiz is completely customisable to your requirements. Our most popular pub format is an 8 round quiz which lasts approximately 2 hours, for after dinner events we'll do a fast-paced 5-6 round quiz lasting 60 minutes. Both styles include a good mixture of different types of questions - involving music, photos, and Similar but Not Who Wants To Be a Millionaire!
I have been to many other quizzes where the idea to be always the top team has been immense, its not like that with us. First and Foremost our quizzes are geared to be FUN, that is why money prizes are strictly frowned upon!
The questions are geared for all levels, so even if you're a Professor and super academic you're not going to be able to answer everything thrown at you!
A good team contains a mixture of old and young, male and female, what might be easy for one person is the devil of an answer someone else just cannot manage!
So there is something for everyone, not just general knowledge, but a mix of popular culture.
Remember its not the winning.... its the taking part that counts!...Although we all know thats not strictly true.... its beating your friends to be first to have bragging rights over them until the next time.
Its all for the kudos of being the best on the night!
An evening would start off with a very easy, yes EASY general knowledge question round, normally 10 questions which are then marked and handed back so that we know how many teams there are, and we can set up the scoring for the evening.
If you don't get at least 7 out of 10 on the first round I would suggest that perhaps you're not safe to be let out, when I say Easy I mean Easy!
The next round would be of a slightly more difficult nature......... and then we are off, Rounds in a quiz might consist of General Knowledge, Themed Rounds, Picture Hand Out Round, Music Rounds, in fact anything and everything you can think of.
Because these quizzes are tailored, no one team should take a great lead and, to the same reasoning, no team should lag behind so badly that they are not within a chance of winning!
This is an open competition and your snippet of knowledge might just be the one answer that wins you the night!
